The handle is made entirely of bamboo, a highly renewable material. As one of the fastest growing plants in the world, bamboo can be harvested within a few years with no pesticide, minimal water, and very little fertiliser. Bamboo is also carbon-neutral in its product lifecycle. Carbon dioxide captured during its growth is returned to the atmosphere when incinerated, emitting net-zero carbon emissions.
